North Wales-based hauler, L.E Jones Haulage Ltd, recently entered unfamiliar territory with their latest Volvo purchase, a first for the business.

Currently running an exclusively Scania-dominated fleet and operating throughout Wales, company director Rhys Roberts is always on the lookout for tag-axle units as his business is 95% livestock transport.

Following several positive conversations with our Regional Sales Executive Adam Foy, Rhys felt confident that this 71-plate, 500bhp Globetrotter XL might be just what he’s after -“Adam offered me the truck and the deal worked for me. We usually run tag-axle Scanias, but you never know, this Volvo might be the first of many for us going forward”.

Now dressed in Rhys personalised livery, courtesy of Kevin at Ginger Graphics, this FH5 also benefits from 3 year’s Selected Volvo Driveline-Pro warranty.

Fearn Farms Fantastical FM

“Spot on, easy to work with, and definitely went above and beyond for me”.

Robert of Fearns Farms Ltd recently took collection of this versatile Volvo FM with the help and support of our Regional Sales Executive, Adam Foy.

With over 3,000 tons of wheat to shift, Robert required a unit which could accommodate his various vacuum tankers that operate around the local Ormskirk/Lancashire region.

Thomas Hardie Vehicle Solutions, our very own body, paintwork, camera, and hydraulic equipment experts set to work adapting Robert’s Volvo to fit his exact specifications.

Robert also opted for a more lighter and efficient Alcoa wheel alternative to save weight and improve performance. Now Robert will see a weight saving of up to 51%, increased vehicle pay load, reduced operating costs, and an overall boost to profitability and aesthetics.

Getting to Know You – Vicki Buckley

2024 sees the return of our ‘Meet the Team’ style of content, and we’re kicking it off with our very own UVS Administrator, Vicki Buckley.

Vicki began her journey with Thomas Hardie Used Trucks at the beginning of last year, and since then has become a fundamental member of the team.

‘We’re extremely proud of Vicki and what she’s achieved in such little time whilst being with us.
