Getting to Know You – Vicki Buckley

2024 sees the return of our ‘Meet the Team’ style of content, and we’re kicking it off with our very own UVS Administrator, Vicki Buckley.
Vicki began her journey with Thomas Hardie Used Trucks at the beginning of last year, and since then has become a fundamental member of the team.
‘We’re extremely proud of Vicki and what she’s achieved in such little time whilst being with us. She’s excelled in every aspect of her role and now represents a core position within the team, I for one can’t wait to see what the future holds for Vicki and the Thomas Hardie Group’. – Used Truck Manager, Jonathan Bownes.

Meet The Professionals – James Glover

Time for installment number 6 of our Meet The professionals venture!

James Glover, our Used Vehicle Sales Administrator, has been supporting our team and greeting customers for around 18 years. Arriving with previous sales experience in 2001, Jim acquired his administrative role and has been supporting the Thomas Hardie sales team ever since.

Alongside James’s vital administrative roles, assisting customers and being front of house also makes-up a large part of Jim’s working day.

How long have you worked at THUVS? – 18 years

Brief description of your roll 

Being the first face you usually see when visiting our Middlewich depot is a big part of my job. Although I am not a receptionist, I’ll be greeting you and assisting with any questions you have, as well as introducing you to our other members of staff.

Another big responsibility of mine is documenting and conducting a largely administrative role for Thomas Hardie’s Used Vehicle Sales team. Keeping tabs on all invoicing and costs keeps me busy.

What do you enjoy most about working at THUVS? 

What I do goes mostly unnoticed, staying under the radar with my work keeps me out of trouble, but on the other hand, I like the fact that what I do keeps us in check and under control. With work being as busy as it is, I can imagine the job becoming difficult if it wasn’t for what I do.

Alongside this, supporting our team and interacting with our customers are two aspects of my role that I thoroughly enjoy also!

Why should someone use THUVS as their used truck supplier? –

We have an extremely professional sales team that is very approachable, helpful and pleasant. Alongside our outstanding quality of trucks, plus me being so on the ball with documents and paperwork, guarantees our customers that we are the best in the country for used trucks!

Where do you see THUVS in the near future? – 

I hope to see a social media boom! It’s clear where advertising and marketing are going, so I’d like to see our already successful social media presence to be pushed to the next level.

  • A car door, to let all the hot air out
  • A bucket and spade
  • A solar-powered boat

Tell us one thing people might not know about you –

As a young man, I seriously considered becoming a priest!
