Local pioneers in the environmental production of ready mix concrete, mortar and floor screeds, Eco-Readymix, have taken delivery of an innovatively designed Volvo FMX 8×4 rigid chassis.
Supplied by Dave Hill, Customer Solutions Manager at Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd.’s Deeside dealerpoint, the FMX 8×4 rigid features an X-High B Ride 5,100mm wheelbase chassis with a Day Cab. Powered by Volvo’s D11K engine rated at 410hp, the new arrival also comes with an I-Shift automated manual transmission system driving Volvo RTS2370A single reduction drive axles with a ratio of 2.83:1. Designed in conjunction with Eco-Readymix for its bespoke operational requirements, the Roltech Multi-Pod ready mix mortar body is equipped with five separate compartments for multiple product deliveries.

Eco-Readymix has taken delivery of nine Volvo trucks during the last 18 months and all are multi-compartment ready mix transporters. The company has also restored its 20-year old Volvo FM7 rigid, which still works every day.

Operating from two depots in Wrexham and one premises in Ellesmere Port, Eco-Readymix currently employs a total of 40 staff.
